February 10
Happy Birthday Jack!!
What a day! We
left the anchorage at 9:0 am because we didn’t really hav a reason to stay. We
had done everything we needed to do and didn’t fancy another dinghy ride. The forecast
was for cooler weather, wind and possible rain. So we decided that heading further
south might get us out fro under this weather.
We got out into
the channel realized we had 15 knots of wind and a straight run south so we
turned off the motor and SAILED all day! We made 49 miles under sail today!!
What a rush!
We ae anchored in Vero
Beach in front of a bunch of mansions across from an uninhabited island. What a
contrast! We anchored in time to watch the launch, which didn’t happen again.
We’re sure glad we aren’t till sitting at Canaveral waiting! Sorry, Gail!
So tomorrow we
will be in Indiantown or pretty close. It would be great if we could get the
same weather. It was warm and sunny by 10:00 am and we travelled in shorts and
t-shirts again.
We passed lots of neat
places but the Indian River is so wide it was hard to see both shores at times.
So, going to bed
early to get a head start at sunrise tomorrow. Enjoy the pics!
