Wednesday Dec.3
Today we left at
noon. We were waiting for the fog to clear and we wanted to take some more
pictures. Y’know as often as I’ve been to Toronto, the Outlet malls in Barrie
and Birch Run, I’ve never seen an outlet site like this one. 10 years ago when
we came by, the alligator ponds were there and we walked around them, and there
were a few tourist stores, but nothing like it is now.
It is well mapped
out with sitting areas at each store, restaurants that are inside as well as
out and theatres... not movie theatres...live theatres.
We ran down river
[against the tide] and passed a barge coming up. It didn’t answer our hail and
we couldn’t see anyone on board but it managed the curve in the river so somebody
was steering...a kid joyriding?
We arrived at Osprey
Marina, for fuel and decided to stay the night here, since it was already 4:30.
The showers were awesome!! And they gave us a goodie bag with crackers, pepper
jelly, honey buns, Tide &Bounce and shampoo and soap! A great place to stop!
Tomorrow we will
pass Georgetown SC and everything after that will be brand new because we
skipped it all 10 years ago when we came up. We would like to be in Florida by
the 16 of December. There is going to be a launch at Cape Canaveral!! I would
LOVE to see it. There is security zone
around Charleston SC on the 5th and 6th as well because a
new ship is being launched, so the ICW is closed for two days but we won’t be
there that soon.
