Tuesday Dec 2

Tuesday Dec 2

We are sitting at the dock waiting for the battery guy to deliver the new batteries. They will be 90% charged so when we run this afternoon , they will charge fully. Good thing because its cloudy now and will be cloudy for the next 5 days according to the weather man. Of course, if we get far enough south, it won’t be cloudy on us.

There is a beautiful old carousel here at the Landing. So far I haven’t seen it run, but the horses are gorgeous. I will take some pics tomorrow.

We are being buzzed by some military aircraft: a couple that look like Herc’s and a helicopter right out of Avatar. They must be running tests from that
aerial we passed along the river before we got here.

The batteries arrived but we decide to stay here until they are charged – tomorrow. Not in a hurry at all.

A really lazy day ... it was great. I worked on some crafts, cleaned out one of the water tanks and filled it.  Vacuumed???

SO tomorrow we head further south and see how far we get.
